AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS (September 15, 2017) – Scenarist®, LLC, the developer of Hollywood-standard Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc authoring systems based in Marin County, California and GlassThumb™, a developer of innovative streaming technology and the original developer of the NetBlender™ brand authoring software located in New York City, have agreed to continue and expand the NetBlender blog site which provides a platform for discussion and idea exchange to DoStudio™ users. The collaboration benefits hundreds of authoring service providers worldwide and will allow them to continue to share vital knowledge and information about CE standards and new technology.
The blog site was initially established in 2005 to assist new users of NetBlender’s authoring tools. NetBlender was acquired by Sony Creative Software in 2011 but the authoring applications were ultimately discontinued earlier this year leaving many in the authoring community worried that the discussion site would also be shutdown.
“The NetBlender blog site has been the perfect place where content producers could come together to share ideas about technology and techniques, and until now its future was in question,” said Denny Breitenfeld, CEO at GlassThumb in New York City. “With Scenarist’s collaboration, we’re delighted to be able to continue and expand the discussion to 4K, HDR, streaming and Ultra HD Blu-ray.”
“We’re delighted to work with GlassThumb to continue a key discussion platform for DoStudio users,” said, Chris Neely, Managing Partner at Scenarist in Marin County, California. “With the new Ultra HD Blu-ray format, there’s a lot to talk about as DoStudio users start their migration to 4K and beyond, and we’re excited to be there for them.”
Scenarist is holding a special reception for DoStudio users at the International Broadcast Convention in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on Sept 16th at 3:00 PM, as well as demonstrating their authoring technology and products from Sept 15th – 19th in a special demonstration suite located at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam.
